While we don't recommend freezing as the best storage option, all foods can be frozen for up to 3 months. You check out the USDA’s guidance on safely freezing and thawing foods for additional support.
Some foods that do especially well frozen are our Red Lentil Fusilli, Cauliflower Gnocchi, Cauliflower Linguine, Four Cheese Tortelloni, Spinach Ricotta Ravioli, Spinach Garlic Chicken Sausage, Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage, most meat and all our doughs. We don’t recommend freezing seafood, Hungryroot bean salads or refried beans, soups, stews, or Avocado Crema.
If you choose to freeze any other items, our culinary team recommends either cooking your recipe and allowing it to fully cool before freezing it, or blanching the fresh cut vegetables before freezing (not doing so can make for mushy veggies once thawed).
You may see some separation when you thaw any of our sauces and doughs, which is completely normal. Just stir these up thoroughly before use.
