BRiQ paper gel ice packs are what we use in our boxes to keep your food fresh and cold during transit. They’re made from curbside recyclable paper and contain a leak-proof compostable gel. To open the gel pack, cut across the top of the gel pack and discard the gel. You can then recycle the paper bag with your curbside materials. Avoid putting the contents down the drain, and opt for your trash can or commercial compost instead.
One thing to note: unlike our Enviro Ice packs, which contain a gel that can be used as plant food, BRiQ ice packs are not plant food. But don’t worry—they’re still non-toxic and won’t harm your plants if you mistakenly use them as plant food.
