We pack your delivery specifically for you, based on where you live, what you ordered, how hot it is outside, and how long your box will be in transit. These considerations help us ensure that your proteins arrive cold. Your meat and seafood should be cool to the touch and measure at or below 40°F with a food thermometer upon arrival. If your delivery arrives and a raw protein’s temperature is warmer than 40°, we recommend discarding it and reaching out to our Customer Care team here.
One thing to note: our ice packs are designed to melt in transit, so if they’re partially or fully melted by the time your box arrives, that’s ok! Use the temperature of your items, rather than the temperature of your ice packs or the box itself, as your guide. Ultimately, we encourage you to use your best judgment—if you’re uneasy about eating any of the meat and seafood you receive, just let us know.
