We include olive oil in our calorie count when a recipe specifies an exact amount.
For example, one tablespoon of olive oil has 119 calories, and one teaspoon has 40 calories. If you use a different type of oil, the calorie count might change.
If a recipe asks for a “drizzle” or “spritz” of oil, we don’t include that in the calorie count since the amount is usually small.
