We’ve packed your delivery specifically for you, based on where you live, what you ordered, how hot it is outside, and how long your box will be in transit. These factors help us determine what box liners we use (you may notice different liners in winter vs. summer if you live in a cool climate!) as well as how many ice packs to include.
When packing deliveries, shelf-stable items are placed on top, outside the liner for most box sizes. This helps us to decrease ice usage, shipping weight, and our overall carbon footprint. It also helps keep your refrigerated items colder longer.
Remember, our ice packs are meant to melt during delivery. It's okay if they’re partly or fully melted when your box arrives.
That said, if you have any doubts about the freshness of your delivery, our Customer Care team is here to help. Or check out our guidance for how to handle a warm box.
